These images are stills from a solo performance in which Michael created a physical abstract representation of the refinement process, exploring the relationship between conceptual and visual refinement. He used suspended stones in plastic, removing all unnecessary sections throughout the process. This method defines the relationship between structure and visual refinement. It pushes the materials to their breaking point while simultaneously distilling the composition to its purest form.
